My work’s party involved eating bread and talking as other employees were closing the restaurant and watched from a distance. I felt like a jerk. On the upside we ate bread (I work at a bread bakery. It was featured in Oprah magazine this month).

My office didn’t have a party. My wife’s office party was pretty good, but we had to leave early and with minimum alcohol (she had one drink, I had none).

My wife’s client’s office party was off the motherfucking chain, with a completely open bar, cigars, and fun drunks. Party of the year.

I was worried about being the only single one there, but it turns out I wasn’t. The one other person who was single was a girl i’ve had a crush on for a month or two, and we got to know each other and we’re starting to be friends.
